Amanda A. Colyvas "Peggy"

Amanda A. (Peggy) Colyvas of Wilmington, Delaware went home to the Lord on August 22, 2016 at the age of 92.

Peggy was known for her warmth and hospitality.  She always treated her son Pete’s friends as family.   She made them all feel like they were home whenever they were there.  She was the kind of Mom and Yiayia that everyone would want, a caring, loving, good-hearted soul to whom her family meant everything.  Everyone who knew her would say the world is a better place because she was in it. She will forever remain in the hearts of everyone she touched.  Peggy worked for 25 years as a cosmetician for Eckard drug store. 

She was predeceased by her husband Danny P. Colyvas and her brother Sam Carter of Bristol, VA.

Peggy is survived by her devoted son Peter D. Colyvas and her adoring and adored grandson Daniel Colyvas.  She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

There will be a viewing at 10:00 am on Friday August 26th, 2016 followed by the Funeral service at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE.  Interment will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, DE.
