Angela B. Ciconte

            ANGELA B. CICONTE, of WILMINGTON, DELAWARE, died on June 1, 2016.  A lifelong Delawarean, she retired as a secretary in the Fabrics and Finishes Department of the DuPont Company, after 39 years of service.  She was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and a member of the Clarence Fraim and Claymore Senior Centers.

            She was a world traveler, who also worked for many years as a volunteer for the annual St. Anthony of Padua’s Italian Festival. 

            She was the last of seven children of the late Antonio and Julia Ciconte.  She was predeceased by her brothers, William, Joseph and Thomas, as well as her sisters, Mary Ciconte, Sarah Joyce and Irene Grzybowski. 

            She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Anita Dauphin (Charlie), Edward Ciconte (Diane), Thomas Ciconte (Alexis), Anthony Ciconte (Barbara), Kathleen Jacono (Joe), Richard Joyce (Debbie), and Raymond Grzybowski, who were her “surrogate children”, along with their many children and grandchildren.

            Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Streets on Thursdat, June 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be private.
