Joseph J. Fillipone Jr.

Joseph J. Fillipone, Jr., age 71, was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on June 30, 1946, and passed away in Port Orange, Florida, on December 5, 2017.  He was the son of the late Joseph and Grace Fillipone.  He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Caroline Robinson Fillipone, in 2013.  Joe was an electrician by trade and worked in that field for many years.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Maryrose (Dolly) Olewinski, and Marlene Stewart. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Dawn White, George, Michael, James, and John Fox.  Two nieces and two nephews also survive him in addition to step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Monday evening, December 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Corleto Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St., Wilmington, DE 19805.  Services will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe’s memory to St. Catherine of Siena Church at 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington DE 19808.
