Joshua Von Schmid

Joshua, age 33, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 9, 2017. 

Joshua enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his dog, Karma. He worked as a journeyman electrician and was a member of the IBEW Local 2270.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and had a passion for helping others.  Josh had a kind hearted spirit and valued the friendships and connections he had made throughout his life. He is survived by his parents, Frederick Schmid IV and Sharon Schmid, fiance, Kelly MacDowell, neice, Zoey Rayne Schmid, and grandmother, Marie J. Bromwell, in addition to many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick "PJ" Schmid V, and grandfather, Richard L. Bromwell.  Graveside Funeral Services are Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at 11am at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Rd., Marcus Hook, PA. 19061.  Calling hours are Thursday evening from 5 to 7:30pm at the CORLETO LATINA FAMILY CENTER, 807 N. Union St. Wilmington.
