Michael John Drach

It is with broken hearts that we announce, Michael, born July 13, 1992, unexpectedly passed away on January 7, 2018 after a long struggle with addiction. Michael was a graduate of St. Marks High School (2010) and lived in Middletown Delaware until 2015. He lived in Boynton Beach Florida at the time of his passing where he enjoyed his position as a cook at Big Al’s Steaks.   He is survived by his parents John and Shelley (King) Drach and his sister, Molly, all of Middletown, De. He will be deeply missed by his paternal grandparents, Dick and Phoebe Drach (Greenville N.C.), his maternal grandparents, Mike and Bonnie King (Panama City Beach, Fl). Although he didn’t get to see the rest of his family often he genuinely loved them all. Uncle Dave, Aunt Judy, Aunt Jan, Aunt Laurie and Uncle Tom. Dave Jr.( Amber), Jessie, Zack, Emily, Annie Francis,  Brittany( Jacob), Brady, Bethany and Brenna. He was preceded in death by his Uncle E. Kemp Reece Jr.  Michael had countless friends and he touched the lives of many. He thought of Andrew Blanford  as his best friend and brother. We will all miss Michael’s contagious “smirk.”   Michael was home for Christmas and spent time doing some of his favorite things. Walking his dogs at Lums Pond State Park, playing games with the family, and eating “grandma dip”. His biggest request while home was to “just hang out and be together”.  Michael loved the outdoors, the beach, riding his dirt bike, walking at the park and spending time with his cat Rufus.  In lieu of flowers please consider making Memorial Donations to atTAcK Addiction P.O.
