Nitza De Jesus

Nitza went home on January 23, 2018 at 1:27PM to be with Lord whom she was a devout servant to. Mrs. DeJesus is survived by her daughter Nitzabel Figueroa, her husband Jose Luis, and her brother Pablo DeJesus. Her passion for preaching and giving out to the community are beyond compare. Nitza really enjoyed dancing and telling stories that would make you laugh, she always had un chiste. Her favorite food out of everything was a turkey leg out of all the delicious Puerto Rican food! She had another important person in her life which was her best friend Lydia Zambrana but they were more than best friends they became sisters and by becoming sisters she also gained more family who are Christine Marie Zambrana (Christie), Mirian Janeete Zambrana (Mirita a.k.a Angelita), and Caliana Swingle-Zambrana (Calianita). These are the people who she spent the most time with. We all miss her very much and although none of us were prepared for her journey back home, we are joyful that she is no longer suffering and as one of our friends said it best “heaven just gained awesomeness, a comedian, a wonderful mom, aunt, and friend, and a daughter of the almighty Father God, and how can we forget an incredible singer, guitarist, conga player and salsa dancer. We love you to the moon and back.

A celebration of Nitza’s life will be held at the Corleto-Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union Street, Wilmington, on Saturday January 27, 2018 between 12:00PM - 2:00PM
