Renee M (Sosnowski) Gavas

Renee M. (Sosnowski) Gavas passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 after a lengthy battle with depression. She was born July 4, 1965 in Wilmington, DE to Alice C. (Okarski) and John F. Sosnowski. She resided in West Ocean City, MD and worked as a Sonographer at Peninsula Imaging in Salisbury, MD.

She is survived by her brother, Daniel J. Sosnowski, his wife, Catherine, and their three children, Jason Sosnowski, Kira Brignoni and Rebecca Ammirati, the love of her life, Mike Phillips; his parents, Irene and Paul Phillips; her aunts, Jeanette Bolen, Marianne Bialorucki (John Dobies), as well as a multitude of cousins and their children. She was preceded in death by her beloved dog of 15 years, Chubby.

To accommodate the many members of her family and friends, there will be 2 celebrations of her life. The first will be at The CORLETO-LATINA FAMILY CENTER, 807 N. Union St, Wilmington, DE 19805, on Tuesday, Oct 24^th, at 6pm, where friends may visit beginning at 4PM.  The second will be at Christ United Methodist Church, 211 Phillip Morris Dr, Salisbury, MD 21804   on Friday, October 27^th, at 6PM, where friends may visit beginning at 5PM.  Interment will be held privately in All Saints Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Worcester County Humane Society, 12330 Eagles Nest Rd, Berlin, MD 21811
