Tomasa Ortiz

Tomasa Maldonado-Ortiz born April 1, 1926 went home to rest with the Lord July 17, 2016. She grew up in Barranquita, PR. She met the love of her life, Cruz in 1942. She loved to cook, make sweets, walk and pick other's flowers to plant in her own garden. She was also very compassionate of stray animals and often fed them.

She is preceded by the love of her life Cruz Ortiz; her parents Eufemia Rivera and Luis Maldonado; her daughter, Amalia; her sisters Felicita, Paula, Eufrancia and Ramona.

She is survived by her sisters Josefina and Maria Estel and brother Rafael; her children, Carmen Iris (Iris); Angel Luis (Willo); Maria Virgen (Puco); Teresa (Tere); Cruz (Papo); Alberto (Puchi); Iliana (Titi); Rosita (Rosa); Roberto (Robert); Carlos Ruben (Ruben) and a host of grand; great; great great; great great great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held for Tomasa on Monday July 25 at 11:30am at the Corleto-Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St. Wilmington, where friends and family are invited to call at 10:30am.  Interment will follow services in Silverbrook Cemetery.
