Carl J. Ferrara

Carl J. Ferrara, age 94, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born on December 24th, 1923 to Joseph and Trusiana Ferrara

Carl was very proud of his service as an Army medic in WWII. He was assigned to a Hospital Ship in the African theater and often spoke of his many experiences crossing the ocean. He retired as a superintendent for Greggo and Ferrara Inc. after 45 years of service at the age of 77.   His greatest satisfaction in life was providing for and spending time with his family and for this we are grateful. His smile, sense of humor and ability to never complain will be missed by all.

Carl was proceeded in death by his wife Mary, son Tommy, brothers Danny, Nicholas, John, Pat, and sister Florence. He is survived by his children Carl (Debbie) Craig (Noreen), Richard (Anne Marie) Sharon (Harold) and Theresa (Scott). Eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Lyndsey, Randee, Lindsey, David, Emily, Michael, Craig, Megan, Michelle, and Christine. Thirteen great grandchildren, Julianna, Hailey, Isabella, Logan, Loden, Caden, Max, Emmett, Jackson, Taylor, Quinn, Leila, and Kingston. And numerous nieces and nephews.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 6, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th & DuPont St. Wilm. at 11:45 a.m. where family and friends may call after 10.  Entombment will follow mass in Cathedral Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care of Delaware, Suite 407, Newark DE, 19713.  To place an online condolence please visit corletolatinafuneralhome.com.
