Karla Ann Hinderliter

Karla Ann Hinderliter, age 48, of New Castle, DE, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
Karla was born in Chester, Pennsylvania at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. She attended Concord Elementary School and graduated from Chichester High School in the Class of 1987. Upon graduation Karla was awarded recognition for being the “Most Improved Student” in her senior year. In her youth, Karla was a member of the Girl Scouts and joined the church which she attended. Karla enjoyed drawing, a talent she inherited from her mother. Karla enjoyed the outdoors, camping and travelling with her family. She especially loved visits to her maternal grandparent’s farm outside of Louisville Kentucky. As an adult she lived for a period in the Virgin Islands. Additionally, she loved David Bowie and his music and loved the fun and festivities of Halloween, her favorite holiday.

Karla is survived by her two sons, Jonathan Deputy and Ryan Coyne. She loved both fiercely and cherished time she spent with them; her father Robert Charles Hinderliter; her sister, Leslie Joan Hinderliter; her brother Robert Scott Hinderliter, his wife Carol, their children and grandchildren, and her Aunt Virginia Worrell. She is pre-deceased by her mother, Joan Matthews Worrell and brother Harvey C. Worrell.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation and remembrance on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 10am to 12noon at the Corleto Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St. Wilmington, DE. 19805. Interment will be private.
