Regina Raighn Obituary

Regina DiSantis Raighn died on July 3, 2018. She and her twin sister, Mary, were born in New Castle, DE, on May 6, 1922, to Giacinto and Teresa (Consorti) DiSantis. She was employed at the New Castle Air Base after World War II, and later at Hercules for 24 years. She was married to George Raighn for 50 years, until his death in 1993.   Regina is survived by her loving son, George, her dear grandson, Jeffrey Adams and his wife, Shirlee, and her beloved great-grandsons, Jace, Troy, Jude, and Xave Adams. Also surviving are her sisters, Lydia Sawyers and Mary Marinelli, Regina's twin. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Ernest and John DiSantis, and her sisters, Edith Gambacorta, Elizabeth Laraway, and Nilda DiSantis.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at St. Peter's Church, 5th & Harmony Streets, New Castle, DE, with visitation at the Church at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Heartland Hospice, 5661 Ocheltree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
