Sophie Cerminara Obituary

Sophie A Cerminara, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 1, surrounded by her children. Left to cherish her memory are her children Diana Schiappa (Mike), Nicholas, Jr. (Jackie), Marie Marra (Greg), Teresa Brown, John, and Gina Gonzalez. 13 grandchildren...Christina, Michael, Amy, Megan, Carrie, Nicholas, Angela, Gregory, Stephen, Joseph, Sarah, Rachel, Miranda, and 14 great grandchildren. Also, brother Gene Paulino (Marilyn), and sister-in-law Evelyn Paulino. She was predeceased by her loving husband Nicholas, brothers John and Bill, and son-in-law Raymond Brown.

Sophie cherished time with her family especially around the holidays and cooking Sunday dinners. Her 6 children never left without a “care package” in hand. She also loved shopping and having lunch with her daughters. She enjoyed puzzles and coloring.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Seasons Hospice for all their kindness, caring and compassion during these past two months.

Services were held privately in honor of our Mother’s wishes.
