Alfred "Fred" J. Pasquale, Jr.

Alfred (Fred) Pasquale, aged 96, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born on October 6, 1929 in Wilmington, DE, Fred lived a long and full life marked by kindness, compassion and love. Over nearly a century of life, Fred was known for his warmth, tenderness, and singing and he touched the lives of all who knew him. 

 Fred is survived by his two daughters, Kathleen Howard (John) and Maria Start (William); five grandchildren, Chad Howard, Chandler Smith, Casey Ackley, Benjamin Start and Jenna Riale; nine great grandchildren, Ethan Howard, Luke Howard, Wyatt Smith, Auburn Ackley, Austin Ackley, Charlotte Ackley, MacKenzie Start, April Start and Scarlett Riale; sister, Joan DiGirolamo; and his many nieces and nephews. They will forever cherish the memories and love Fred shared so generously. 

 Alfred was preceded in death by his wife, Claire (Williams) Pasquale; siblings, John Pasquale and Joseph Pasquale; parents, Alfred Pasquale and Frances (née Tamone) Pasquale. 

 Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Alfred’s life at a viewing and Mass of Christian Burial on December 10, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington, DE. A viewing will begin at 10 AM with funeral services beginning at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, and all are welcome to attend.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

 The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Cadia Rehabilitation Silverside and the hospice staff at Accent Care/Christiana Care Wilmington Hospital for compassion and support. 

 Fred lived his life with love and understanding. Though he is dearly missed, his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who love him.
