Ann A. Gazzillo Oddo, age 96 was born in Wilmington’s Little Italy to the late Benedetto and Rosaria (DeNisio) Gazzillo. She spent her entire life living on Scott Street until she passed away on August 9, 2022. She was a loving mother, deeply devoted to her children. Ann was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She worked many years at various professions finally retiring from Christiana Care 1986.
She is predeceased by her husband Paul J. Oddo, Sr. and her sons Joseph and Paul. Her sisters Antoinette and Theresa Gazzillo, her brothers Lawrence Cozzillio, Francis Gazzillo and his wife Rita and her son-in-laws James Dougherty and Gerald Hulton.
She is survived by her four daughters JoAnn Dougherty, Rose Marie Hulton, Benita (Tony) Eoppolo, and Ann (Franco Dino) Altoe. Her grandchildren Antonia (Brian) Zigmond, Lea Dougherty, Ryan (Michelle) Dougherty, Carmen (Tara) Eoppolo, Jane (Chris) Delaney, Amelia Altoe (Justin Pepper) and nine great-grandchildren who will miss her meatballs and gravy.
You are invited to visit with Ann’s family from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Corleto-Latina Funeral Home. Service will begin at 11:00am and interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
