Ann Snyder

Ann Jennings Snyder (Mommom) passed away on December 7, 2022 after a long illness. She was born on July 25th, 1933 in Scranton, Pa.  After graduating from Mercy Hospital as an RN, she moved to Wilmington, De to pursue her nursing career. She was very proud of her profession and worked in many facets of nursing for many (38 full time and 12 part time)years. 

Ann enjoyed traveling and reading books, watching Notre dame and eagles football as well as Wilmington Blue Rocks and Phillies baseball. 

She is survived by her brother Thomas F Jennings (Jeanne) and her two children John A Snyder (Jeannie) and  Karen Widdoes (Tim). Her grandchildren Charles Lockerman (Rebecca Moore), Kari Fitzgerald (Michael) Timothy Widdoes, Mary Elizabeth Morris (Jim), Sean Snyder (Aubrey) Kathleen George (Jake), Cassie ODonnell and Michael Blanco.

She was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack Snyder(poppop) daughter , Rosemary O'Donnell, and her dogs Irish, Conan, and Shy.

A Mass of Christian Burial Will be celebrated on Monday December 19th, 2022 at 11:00am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and Dupont Street, Wilmington.  Where family and friends may call after 10:00am, Interment will follow Mass in the Cathedral Cemetery.
