Anne M. Sparco Barbieri passed away at home on Friday December 24, 2021 surrounded by her family. Anne was born in Wilmington on September 8, 1927 to Stephen and Madeline (Casapulla) Sparco. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She was a lifelong homemaker, while also helping with the family business, Madeline’s Restaurant. She was a volunteer at St. Anthony’s Italian Festival, at Padua Academy cafeteria, and St. Anthony of Padua School cafeteria.
Anne enjoyed spending time with her family at her daughter’s beach house in Lewes, DE. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and playing bingo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis J. “Curly” Barbieri and her 4 siblings. She is survived by her 3 children, Joanne Botsford (Michael), Anthony (Kelley) and Maria Barbieri. She also leaves behind her 5 grandchildren, Michael Jr., Matthew, and Christina Botsford and Gabriella and Anthony Barbieri Jr. The loves of her life were her 3 great-grandchildren, Stella, Harvey, and Trevor Botsford as well as her grand-dog Madison.
The family would like to acknowledge Delaware Hospice for the care of our mother, especially Felicia, her CNA, who was an amazing caregiver.

A Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will be private.
We will be practicing Covid-19 protocol during the visitation and Mass. Please be respectful and wear a face covering.
