Austin Wade Owens

Austin Wade Owens, 31, of Newark, Delaware passed away unexpectedly on August 30, 2025.

He and his twin brother were born on September 2, 1993 in Newark, Delaware to L.C. Owens Jr and Laura Owens.

He graduated from Pencader Charter School For Business and worked in the automotive industry.

He loved baseball and played from T-Ball through his senior year in high school. He was an avid hard rock fan and enjoyed going to concerts. He became passionate about billiards when he was 8 and, as an adult, played many times a week with his friends at his favorite pub. He enjoyed camping with his family and was a die hard Steelers fan. He loved his family's Great Danes.

Austin is survived by his parents, L.C. Owens Jr and Laura D Owens (Hofmann), and his brother, L.C. Owens III, and his twin brother Dalton Owens (fiancée Abby Dillard). He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, L.C. Owens Sr, and his maternal grandparents, Jesse and Myrna Hofmann.

He will always be remembered for his honesty, integrity, respectfulness, and his keen sense of right and wrong, as well as his devotion to his family.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 15, 2025 from 3pm to 5pm at The Corleto Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St. Wilmington, DE. 19805
