Carol Ann Dougherty Obituary

 Carol Ann Dougherty was born December 15, 1935 to parents Nicholas and Vera Corleto in Wilmington, Delaware.  Her peaceful passing occurred May 19, 2020 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, DE.  Carol Ann retired from The DuPont Company.  She was a lifelong active member of Saint Anthony of Padua Parish in Wilmington which included many years of participation in their annual Italian Festival where she was affectionately known as “The Festival Lady”.   Carol Ann enjoyed traveling to Italy later in life to vacation with her ancestral relatives.  An avid sports fan she was thrilled to watch the Eagles and Phillies on television and she attended her first Phillies game in July 2019.

She is survived by her children Sherrill Dougherty (Albert Lodato) of Ocean View, DE, and Christopher Dougherty (Donna) of Williamstown, NJ. Carol Ann was beloved by her five grandchildren, and she adored her four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Suzanne Latina (Betty) of Pompano Beach, FL and Nicole Blanchard (Tom) of Richmond, VA and seven nieces and nephews. Carol Ann was preceded in death by her sister Judy (Ott) and her beloved dog, Noel.

At the request of her family funeral services will be held privately.  She will be laid to rest at Cathedral Cemetery with her parents.
