Wade retired from Amtrak in 2008 after 30 years as a union small equipment operator. Wade was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid sports fan; he especially liked the Philadelphia Phillies. He rarely missed a game. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending crab feasts, and walking at Bellevue state park. Wade was best known for his quick-witted sense of humor, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
