Frank P. Pullella, Sr., age 90, passed away peacefully at home with his children by his side on Tuesday, July 28th. Born in Wilmington, DE on February 13, 1930, he was the son of the late Leopold and Clara (Sabatini) Pullella.Frank was a life-long parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church. He and his friends built the manger that is still displayed in front of the church at Christmas. He volunteered countless hours on other projects with Father Roberto Balducelli. He graduated from Salesianum High School in 1948 and attended LaSalle University. After college he served in the Delaware National Guard. He was a general contractor who built housing developments & individual homes in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Frank was a loving, quiet, caring, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He enjoyed family gatherings, golfing, reading, traveling with friends, and many happy summers vacationing in Wildwood Crest. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was predeceased in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Lena Grossi Pullella, sister Lita (Nick) Baldini, brothers John, Lee (Fran), and Joseph Pullella. He is survived by his daughters Letitia (Lita) Toto (Albert) of Hockessin and Marie Fiorelli (John) of Wilmington, his son Frank (Angela) of Hockessin, his sister-in-law Florence Pullella and his cousins, nephews & nieces. He cherished the role of grandfather and great-grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.The family would like to express a special thanks to Delaware Hospice for their compassionate support. Funeral will be held privately.
