Gema Iezzi

Gemma (Marra) Iezzi - 94, of Newark, DE passed away peaceful April 06, 2021.  She was born on December 19th 1926 in San Salvatore Telesino, Italy.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tony of 66 years, and by her parents Ernesto & Rosa (Creta) Marra. Brothers, Orlando, Renaldo, Enrico, and sister Tulia.

She is survived by her son Tony Iezzi Jr. (Susan) of Hilton Head Island SC, her daughter Loretta (Gabor) Farkas of Middletown, DE. Grandson Dr. Gabor Farkas (Melody), of League City, Texas, 2 great grandsons, Lex and Johnny. And by many, many nieces and nephews.

Gemma enjoyed, cooking, especially her amazing meatballs, Italian rum cake and cookies, big Italian family parties, going to lunch with “the girls,” that were her loving nieces, just being with her friends and watching afternoon soaps “the stories”.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 10th at 1pm at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont Street ,Wilmington, DE. 19805

Visitation is also Saturday from 10:30am to 12:15pm at the Corleto Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union Street Wilmington DE. 19805

Burial will be private in Cathedral Cemetery.
