Gentle served his country proudly and we are forever in debt for his sacrifice and service.

Gentle was a unique and well-known man. His favorite pastimes of the world included going to the corner store, playing the lottery, visiting family, Delaware Park, avidly watching and reciting westerns as well as watching sports. On any given day you would often find him driving around town with his grandson Mookie by his side, or in front of his home sitting in a chair having a drink and neighbor watching.
Gentle was joined in holy matrimony to Sandra Dean Cray October 17, 1976.
