George B. Raighn died at Heartland Hospice on Friday, January 18, 2019. He was 75 years old, and was the only child of W. George and Regina
DiSantis Raighn. He is survived by his Aunts, Lydia G. Sawyers, and Mary D. Marinelli, his Godmother. He is also survived by his Son and
Daughter-in-Law, Jeffrey and Shirlee Adams, and his Grandsons, Jace, Troy, Jude, and Xave Adams, and many cousins. George was a talented artist, with a meticulous eye for detail. He was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, and worked with Brother David, O.F.M., making large-scale birdcages, which were sold to help support the priests and
brothers at the Franciscan Capuchin Priory on Prior Road, in Wilmington. In his younger years, George was an avid competitive bowler, and he loved to dance. He delighted in making his manger scene and Christmas tree more beautiful every year, and loved all the beauty and color of the Christmas season. His quiet presence at all family
gatherings will be missed. George's devotion to his Mother was an inspiration to all of his family. Services and interment will be held
privately at a later date.
