George Reginald Swash, 76 of Long Neck Delaware passed away peacefully on April 20th with his family at his side.
Born to Margaret and George Swash in Liverpool, England.
George was educated in England and served in the British Royal Navy for 9 years. He worked as a Computer Analyst for Siemens until retirement. George was an avid sports fan and coach. He was frequently out in the fields coaching his daughter’s teams and most recently the Delaware County Special Olympics Soccer team. He loved to join his friends at the Bowling Alley, Golf Course and Tennis Courts. The true Brit in him loved to challenge anyone to a game of darts. He loved laughing and spending time with his friends and family.
George is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia of 51 years, his adoring daughter, Sherrylynn, his grandsons Jake and Max Pitts. He was survived by his sister in law Evelyn O’Rourke and nephew, Keith Smythe, His sister and brother in law Laura and Clay Bollman. Sister and brother in law Penny and Steve Dittmar. He is also survived by his sister Pauline, sister Brenda and brother in law Bob. His brother Derek and sister in law Susan, brother James and sister in law Dorothy and brother Brian. As well as many nieces in nephews. He is predeceased by his Parents and sister, Angela and sister in law Norma.
A Christian Mass of Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel/Mary Mother of Peace Parish, 200 Edwards Street, Georgetown, DE 19947.
