John Diamanty

John Diamanty passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family
and friends on Friday, March 12, 2021 after a long and courageous journey
with early on-set Alzheimer’s. This tragic disease took John, from his loved ones, many years ago.

John is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy DelGiorno Diamanty of 25 years and their two sons Thomas John and Peter Alexander.  He is also survived by his loving parents
Tom and Sue Diamanty of Wilmington DE, his brother Michael and sister
in-law Lori and their two sons. John was also predeceased by his mother in law Joan DelGiorno and survived by his father in law Peter DelGiorno Sr. and two brother in laws PeterPaul and Jody DelGiorno. John will be dearly missed by his family, many cousins, life long friends, his extended family at Arden Courts and especially his best friend/brother and wingman Rick Romero..

John was a graduate of Concord High School and the University of Delaware where
he earned his engineering degree. John had a successful and satisfying career in the oil industry and retired from GE Water Company.

He enjoyed sports, coaching soccer and baseball, summers at the Delaware
Beaches and was an avid skier.  He was an Eagles fan and a season ticket owner.
John’s greatest dreams were achieved in the simple pleasures of life and he enjoyed
many holidays and parties at his home in North Wilmington.

There will be no services at this time due to the Covid19 pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his memory to
University of Pennsylvania, Penn Medicine Development Attn: Paige O’Malley
3535 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104  whand Brandywine Little League of
Wilmington Delaware.
