John J. McKenna

John J McKenna passed away on 11/10/2021 at his home. Born on 07/03/1932 in Linwood PA.  John was a member of Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame and Marcus Hook Athletes Hall of Fame. John enjoyed Irish dancing and was a sports and Horse Racing enthusiast.    He was predeceased by siblings: James, Francis, Robert, Rose, Peggy, BettyJohn is survived by his wife of 47 years Doris (Doohan).Children: Scot McKenna, John A McKenna (Cindy), Joseph Mc Kenna, Julie DeAugustino, Jackie Coleman, John Baxter (Sandy)Grandchildren: Sean McKenna, James Coleman, Michelle Coleman, Christopher Baxter (Ann), Dario Covazos (Betsy)and 4 Great grandchildren.Sister: Kathleen Catrambone, and longtime friends John and Donna Maichle.The family would like to thank Bayada Hospice for their care of John throughout his illness. Especially Susan and Ada.A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday November 19th at 11am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 901 N. DuPont St. in Wilmington. Family and friends are invited to call at St. Anthony’s Church beginning at 10am. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to : St. Anthony’s Club 1812 Howland St. Wilmington DE or Bayada Hospice
