Joseph D Durso

Joseph Durso 81, passed away on October 3, 2023.   Joe was born on November 12, 1941 in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated from Salesianum High School in 1960 and was self employed over the next 50 years.Joe met the love of his life, Theresa who would stand by his side through thick and thin.  Joe had a charismatic personality and a man of many stories. There was nothing greater than his love his family and his passion to help anyone who needed him.  Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Daniel Durso and Constance Antonelli Durso his sister Angela Durso DiFonzo and eldest son Daniel Durso. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Theresa Rao Durso, his daughter Deanna Garrett, son in law Steve, grandchildren Stephen,Joseph and Nicholas and a son and three grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 11th at 11:30am in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 901 N. Dupont St. Wilmington.  Visitation will be prior to Mass, Starting at 9:30, also in St. Anthony of Padua Church.  Interment will immediately follow Mass in Cathedral Cemetery.
