Julia Gonzalez received her wings at the age of 81, on Thursday, September 14, 2023,
at Churchman Village.
Julia was born July 4th, 1942, in Corozal, PR, to the late Isabelo Perez and Maria Rolon.
Her mother died when she was only 2 years old, but was raised by Iluminada Perez (her father’s sister) which she considered her mom.
Julia attended St. Paul’s Church in Wilmington, DE, for many years. She was in the
Legion de Maria, Circulo de Oracion, and Usher at St. Paul’s.
Julia married the love of her life, Angel Gonzalez in 1968. They were together for nearly
55 years. This union brought 4 loving children Angelo, Maritza, Millie, and Edwin.
Julia was the most loving, caring, and generous spirit. She lived for her family. She was
always there when we needed her. She had a beautiful smile and gave the best hugs and kisses. Her home was always open to everyone. She loved flowers, plants, and all animals past and present. Julia was a great cook, anybody who ate her food knows that it was made with love.
Julia is now at peace with her beloved daughter “Millie” and her family in Heaven. Julia
leaves behind; her husband Angel Gonzalez, her children Angelo Gonzalez (Maria), Maritza Gonzalez-Frink (Gee), & Edwin Gonzalez (Janita), her sisters Anita & Magdy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, 7 grandchildren; Angel, Angie, Natalie, Marc, Alex, Elijah & Natassia, great-grandchildren, lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
