Mark Gaetano Monico

Mark Monico, 65, of Millsboro, De passed away on April 28, 2021 with family by his side.

Mark was born on August 1, 1955 in Wilmington, DE to the late Michael and Elizabeth Monico. After graduating from William Penn High School, he went on to a lifelong career working in the construction industry.

In 1980, Mark met Rosemarie with whom he married & had two children, Lauren and Kelly. Later in life, Mark met his longtime girlfriend, Sheree Godwin.

Mark was a carefree and loving person, who enjoyed life. Some of his favorite past times were spent cooking, enjoying time spent in the yard with gardening & landscaping, going to the beach and spending time with family & friends, especially his grand babies.   

Mark was a loving father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by Sheree Godwin; his daughters Lauren Monico (Nick) and Kelly Monico; Brent Godwin (Angela), Brady Godwin and Buzzy. His grandchildren, Gianna, Rylee, EJ & his dog Hallie. He is also survived by his brother Michael (Frances), sister Marsha Gray, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Socially Distanced Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday May 7th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Corleto-Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St. Wilmington.  We remind everyone to wear masks, wash their hands, and maintain responsible distances between themselves and others in attendance.  Interment will be held privately.
