Mark A. Truono, beloved father, husband, brother and friend to all, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday July 5, 2022. His passing is a loss to all that knew him. Mark was a man of great kindness, generosity and love. Mark will be sorely missed by his wife Terri (Sisson) and his amazing children, Bella & Nicholas.
After graduating from AI DuPont High School in 1981 Mark found his calling in creating. He was blessed to work with his cousin Joey, mastering all areas of building & construction. He went on to own TruMark Construction and Springfield Lane. Trumark, his construction business delivered honesty and perfection on all projects. Springfield Lane gave him creative freedom with his laser and engraving business. Mark found great joy in both, as he did with everything in life.
Mark’s loves and passions were many including Cooper, all Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles and Phillies. Cooking for his family and friends gave him so much joy. Mark made each meal with love whether it was Terri’s morning omelet, his famous crab dip & sausage balls for all occasions, Nicholas’ mac-n-cheese tacos or Bella’s favorite - salmon bites. Mark always added or changed an ingredient so no one could make it the same way he did.
Mark was born to Dolores Rose Russo and Eugene J. Truono in May of 1963. He was the fifth of seven Truono children. Mark leaves behind all six siblings who will miss his generosity & Switzerland attitude. Steve (Leslie), Gene (Luis), Pat Ochonicki (Randy, deceased) Chris Joyce (Jack), Dan (Pie), Tina Cawley (Michael). Uncle Mark leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in- law.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing at St. Joseph’s on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Wilmington, DE, on Monday July 11th from 4:30-6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday July 12th, at 10:00am, also at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church. Interment will follow Mass in the Church Cemetery.
