Michelle D. Silva

It is with great sadness, Michelle Silva, a devoted wife, caring mother, loving grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday March 28, 2024.

Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey on January 13, 1967, as the daughter of Helena Miller and Ray Miller. Michelle worked as a crossing guard for the City of Wilmington for over 20 years. She had a deep love for her animals, time at the beach, cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, and dancing. But above all, Michelle cherished the moments spent surrounded by her beloved family and friends.

Michelle is preceded in death by her father Raymond Miller, her brother Glenn Miller, her daughter Anna Marie Silva, and grandson Ashton Keyon Hunter. Left to honor her memory are her mother Helena Miller, husband Marcial Silva Jr, her children Ashley Silva (Keynan Sr) Marcial Silva III, Jose Silva (Roxanne), and her 8 grandchildren Marcial, Natalia, Amyah, Keynan Jr, Gabriella, Christian, Josiah, and Elise who were the source of her endless joy and laughter in her life.

Though Michelle has departed this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her. Her absence leaves a void, especially in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. Let us commemorate her legacy of love, laughter, and warmth, and find comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Corleto Latina Funeral Home, 808 N Union Street Wilmington, DE 19805. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery 2400 Lancaster Ave Wilmington, DE 19805.
