Pietro "Pete" A. Giorgi

 On March 10, 2022, Pietro A.Giorgi, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Pietro was born on March 22, 1938,in Wilmington, Delaware, to Salvatore and Livia Giorgi. He was predeceased by his beloved wife and soul mate Ellen Cheever-Giorgi, his eldest daughter Elizabeth (Giorgi) Waguespack, his sisters Marie Annone, Antoinette Frank, Josephine Panariello,and his brother John Giorgi.

After graduating from Brown Vocational High School, Pietro (Pete) joined the Civil Air Patrol. Sub-sequent to starting his career at Atlantic Aviation,Pete joined his brother Joe at Giorgi Kitchen and

Design and began a successful career that spanned more than 60 years as a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer. Proud of his Italian-American ancestry, he was a member of the Davinci Society, Sons of Italy, and a past State Deputy in the Knights of Columbus.

Pete touched so many people and will be missed by his family and many friends. His love for family and friends endeared him to those who knew and loved him. He took great pleasure in being a Father of 5 and a Pop Pop to his 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He also loved to travel and visited all 50 states and numerous countries around the world. His ready smile and quick wit drew people to him, as did his uncanny ability to look on the bright side of life.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Pietro Giorgi Jr, Salvatore Giorgi (Donna), AnnMarie Paris (Mark), and Anthony Giorgi (Eva), his brother Joseph, the mother of his children Elizabeth Giorgi, as well as his grandchil-dren Salvatore, Stephen, Jeremy, Nicole, Amanda, Nathan, Joshua, Megan,Seth, Beth and Zach, and his great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19, at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 9th & DuPont St. Wilmington, DE. at 12pm Visitation will begin at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, Pete would have appreciated donations to the Ministry of Caring (ministryofcaring.org).
