Raffaella Chieffi Dallatore

Raffaella Chieffi Dallatore passed away peacefully on Saturday December 14, 2019 surrounded by family.  She was known by her family and friends as Lina.  Raffaella was born May 11th, 1948 in Acerno, Italy province of Salerno.  Her family immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island in 1962.  Her family settled into the “Little Italy” area of Wilmington.  Lina was proud of her Italian heritage and took part in the local Italian community through the Italo-Americans Society and other Italian heritage events and clubs.  She was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Anthony’s church.  Raffaella enjoyed the visual arts and theater.  She worked for the Delaware Arts Society and Delaware Arts Theater in down town Wilmington.

Raffaella is preceded by her late mother Pierina and father Donato Chieffi and brother in law Pietro Villecco.  Raffaella is survived by sisters Rita, Wilma, and Roseanne, brother Vito, sister in law Linda, brother in law David, son Michael, son Anthony his wife MaryAnn and grandchildren Donte’ and Sebastiano and many other family and friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 20th at 12 noon at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 901 N. DuPont St. Wilmington, DE 19805 where family and friends may call after 10am.  Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
