Rogelio "Roger" Mindiola-Arroyo, 67, of Wilmington, DE died peacefully while surrounded by family in the Season Hospice Unit on Monday, April 5, 2021. Rogelio was born in Mexico and moved to Wilmington, DE in the 1980's.
Rogelio enjoyed gardening, cooking, grilling at family barbecues, long walks, and feeding the neighborhood cats. He had an amazing green thumb as he took pride in his flower, fruit and vegetable gardens. He used to play in a mariachi band with his cousins and he enjoyed singing and dancing. Rogelio most importantly enjoyed being around family. He was quiete and would not say much but he knew everything that was going on.
Rogelio was Intelligent and was very good with numbers. He had the ability to figure out how to repair and build things. Rogelio worked many jobs throughout his life and was a hard worker who took pride in his work. He was a man who would help those in need. He was adored by those who came in contact with him including the nursing home staffs who would lovingly referred to him as "Papi".
He is survived by his daughter- Hildamar Mendiola and his son Rene Uriel Mendiola and grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his life partner of 27 years and who he lovingly Adored, Angela Santiago and family: Jaynnette Tirado, Miguel Colon, Julio Tirado, and grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with his favorite cat-Moneyquee.
Rogelio will Always be cherished in our hearts and he will forever be remembered.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 12pm-2pm.
