Romilda Maria Bucci

Romilda Maria Bucci, age 94, passed away on November 1, 2024.

Maria was born on March 22, 1930 in Abruzzi, Italy to the late Rocco & Rosalinda Carlone. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Antonio “Tony” Bucci and son, Maurizio Bucci, sisters Bambina DeLuca and Anna Durante.
Maria, who was a devoted Catholic, worshipped at St. Matthew’s Church. Maria was known for her beautiful flower & vegetable gardens. She enjoyed cooking Italian meals & baking her superb and delicious cakes & cookies. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family & friends.
Maria will be forever loved & forever missed by her son Frank (Denise), her daughters Miriam DiSantis and Lola Abbondandolo (Joe), and her grandchildren John DiSantis (Jolene), Stephen DiSantis (Emily), Nicholas Bucci (Samantha), Joseph Bucci, Antonio Abbondandolo, and Michael Abbondandolo who all lovingly called her Nonna. She is also survived by her sister Fernanda Cavallucci in Italy, and several nieces & nephew.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Matthew’s Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE. Viewing will be held prior starting at 9:30AM. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
