“Mom Mom”, age 94, died peacefully Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Heartland Hospice House of Delaware surrounded by her loving family.  She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Dante L. Zoli Sr. and her ten brothers and sisters.  Rose resided in Townsend, DE in the summer months, and Lauderdale Lakes, FL in the winter months.

Rose is survived by her daughter Florence Poore (John), her son Dante L. Zoli Jr., her grandchildren John Poore Jr. (Patti), and Katherine Marszalek.  She is also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Scott and Alex Marszalek.

Mom Mom took great pride in working as a waitress for over 40 years - she was the waitress with the “red lips” at Merchandise Mart Horn and Hardart restaurant, worked at the University Whist Club and at Mrs. Robino’s on Union Street while in Delaware, and the New England Oyster House while in Florida, her favorite.  Most recently she could be found cutting peppers for Attilio’s until she was 94 years old.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, 500-Rummy, and Rummikub with family and friends – she rarely lost.  One of her favorite events was attending the St. Anthony Italian Festival where her husband played in the Old Colonial Band, listening to big-band music, and health-talk radio.

Mom Mom loved life with her rosy red lipstick, laughed and made us laugh, brightened the lives of everyone who knew her, and made special occasions extra special.  She filled her family’s spirit with her smiles, laughter, and food made with love.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 at 10 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and DuPont St. Wilm., DE. Interment will follow Mass in Cathedral Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Corleto Latina Family Center 807 N. Union St. Wilm.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Heartland Hospice House of Delaware, 5661 Ocheltree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
