Terence J. Patton

Terence Patton passed away at his home in Palm Beach Garden on January 6, 2022.  Terry proudly served in Germany with the United States Army from 1955 – 1957. Terry then joined the Wilmington Police Department in 1959 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He retired in 1981. He was employed as a Superior Court Pre-sentence Officer with the State of Delaware for twenty years. Terry and Ann moved to Florida in 2006. In his later years Terry enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling throughout the United States and Europe with his wife Ann.

Terry is survived by his wife, Dr. Ann R. Patton, and his children, The Honorable Terence J. Patton, Jr., and his wife, Monica M. Patton of Spotsylvania, Virginia, his daughter, Barbara P. Phipps, and her husband Donald Phipps, of Lake Worth, Florida, and his three granddaughters, Caroline G. Patton, Charlotte A. Patton, and Emily A. Phipps.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 15, at 10:30 am, St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 North DuPont Street, Wilmington, DE 19805, where visitation will be held beginning at 9:30 am, Entombment will be in the Queen of the Apostles Crypt at Cathedral Cemetery.
