Theresa Ann Kavanagh

Theresa Ann Kavanagh (Terry), 72, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on January 24,1949 and graduated from St. Elizabeth's High School in 1967.  After high school she met the love her life Thomas Kavanagh Sr.  They would go on to marry and have 3 beautiful children Shelly Rachael Kavanagh, Thomas Kavanagh Jr. and Emily Kate Kavanagh.   

Terry had a fun-loving spirit about her and her mischievous laugh was contagious.  She loved playing pranks on her husband.  She was pretty traditional in the sense that when raising her family, she made sure they had a hot, family dinner every night, packed their lunches every day for school and showed them all how to work hard for what they want to achieve in life.  Terry was a wonderful wife, mother, Nonna, sister and friend and left a mark on the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Terry is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas Kavanagh Sr.  Their 3 children, Shelly R. Kavanagh (Chris Erby), Thomas Kavanagh Jr. (Ashley Kavanagh) and Emily K. Kavanagh (Megan Ferguson).  4 grandchildren, Sarah Alice Kavanagh, Michael Thomas Kavanagh, Lydia Kathryn Kavanagh and Marci Lynn Kavanagh.  Her sister Nancy Steck (Edward Steck) and her Brother Mark Crossan (Anne Marie Crossan)

A Catholic Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday April 27, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Corleto-Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St., Wilmington. Family and friends are invited to a Socially Distanced Visitation, Tuesday Morning April 27, from 11:00am  – 1:00pm.  Interment will be held privately.
