Vittoria Marconi

With profound sadness the family of Vittoria Marconi, age 86, announce she passed away peacefully August 29, 2021. 

She was born in Roccad’Evandro, Italy in 1934.  She married the love of her life, Ugo A. Marconi in July of 1954 who preceded her in death in March 2021.

For years, Vittoria worked as a seamstress in Montreal, Canada before the family moved to Wilmington.  Her hands were rarely still.  Vittoria loved to feed her family, work in her garden,  have beautiful flowers in her front yard and keep an immaculate house.  She was always kind to everyone and always ready to help anyone who needed help. 

Vittoria was a dedicated wife and mother.  She adored her children, and she especially loved her role as grandmother and great-grandmother.

Vittoria leaves behind her children, Elena and Giorgio, her son-in-law Paul, her grandchildren, Brianna, Vittoria and Alessa and her great-grandson, Giovanni.   She will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. Dupont St, Wilmington on Wednesday, September 8th from 10 am until 11:30 am.  Mass will be held immediately after the viewing.
