William J. Bradley Sr., the son of Charles and Mary Louise Bradley, was a cherished father, brother, uncle, son, and exceptional chef. He passed away on May 19, 2024. William is survived by his four children, Rebecca, William, Anthony, and Sarah, and three beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Avery, and Lily. He also leaves behind his four brothers, Charles (Marie), Ed (Cynthia), Gene (Patti), and Paul (Karen), as well as many nieces and nephews.
William J. Bradley Sr. was a proud alumnus of Salesianum School 1970, and graduated from St. Gregory's College in 1972 with a degree in business, and also attended Duquesne Universiy.
William started his career at The Hotel DuPont and trained with many renowned chefs. In the 1990s, he owned a company, Catered Affair, hosting many state-of-the-art events. He then dedicated over 20 years of his career to the Ministry of Caring, where he prepared more than 500,000 meals for the community. Known for his remarkable ability to fix anything, his unmatched talents extended beyond the kitchen. He had a passion for carpentry, enjoyed fishing, loved the beach, and spent countless hours watching American Bald Eagles from his balcony. He also had a love for clocks and collecting coins, but above all, he cherished his family deeply.
His legacy of love, dedication, and skill will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Please join us in celebrating William's life on Friday May 24,2024 at Sacred Heart Oratory 917 N Madison St. Wilmington, DE 19801. Visitation will occur from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM; Mass will be at 12 PM; Luncheon will follow directly after downstairs at The Francis X. Norton Center.
