Winifred A. “Sue” Ciafardo Orsetti, age 73, of Newark DE, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
Sue was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Philip Ciafardo, Jr., and Winifred, and grew up in Delaware with her four brothers and sister. In 1975, she met the love of her life, Ray, who she went on to marry.
Sue made everyone she met feel special; especially children, who she really loved taking care of. This led her to opening her own daycare business for many years. When she wasn’t taking care of her “kids” at the daycare, she enjoyed cooking and hosting her family and friends for barbeques and holidays. Sue loved being from a big family and always looked forward to seeing everyone at the annual Christmas party. She also loved everything from the 40’s and 50’s era; from listening to the oldies, to watching the black and white movies, especially ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ray; her son, Richard, and her beloved granddaughter; Marrissa Nardo. As well as her siblings, Phil Ciafardo (AnnaMarie), Joe Ciafardo (Patty), Chuck Ciafardo (Margaret), Jimmy Ciafardo (Crystal), and Kathy Healy (Don). Along with many nephews and nieces, and not to be forgotten, her sweet dog, Margie.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Philip Ciafardo, Jr. and Winifred Rivera; her sister-in-law, Janet Ciafardo, and nephew, Joey Ciafardo.
Anyone who knew Sue was touched by her compassion and kindness, she will be forever in our hearts.
