So sad to hear of your dad's passing. He has been one of the wonders of the neighborhood. For years he knew all of the dogs and their names, and they all knew him as well. My dog Siri and I walked often with him, and she loved him. He will be missed by all of the critters who knew him and of course by all of the other humans he would visit with. Truly he lived up to his "Angel" name.
