Mary Ellen Topar, Albert and Juanita Petrucci,
Thank you for your kind words. My mother enjoyed having Juanita as her roommate and the visits from Albert. We liked our gab sessions and so did the other residents...always trying to get into the room!! Thank you, Juanita, for letting mom use the phone to call me. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort in the words of Jesus at John 11:11-14,
where he likens death to being asleep, and at John 5:28,29 - "All
those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."

All who knew her will miss cousin Theresa, a woman with nothing but compassion and love in her heart. As a child I remember her kindness to all of us children, treating us as "equals" and always asking what we had been up to at school and elsewhere --more so than even our own parents. This I'll never forget about her - her caring nature for those who were not even hers. My sincere condolences to her children, and to all who knew her. I will miss her dearly as a woman with love in her heart for all she met. God bless you cousin Theresa and I pray that God please mitigate the grief of your loving family, knowing you reside in heaven with her mother and my grandmother and the rest of her loving family. Rest in peace.

During winter, my mother always threw moistened bread out in the yard for the birds. She polished our white shoes every Sunday morning and let them dry on our picket fence so we would look our best when we went to my grand-mother's house for dinner. I enjoyed being out in the yard with her picking the frozen clothes off the line, the cold wind whipping around in our hair. She was always bundled up in her long, wool coat. She nearly wore out her new home-made spaghetti machine, always letting me stand by her side and turn the handle. She yelled at me once when all the cooked spaghetti went down the drain by accident. I loved being in the kitchen with her. She taught me many good things and impeccable values. I'm so proud she was my mother.

At age 25 (in this foto), my mother was as beautiful as Mona Lisa. Look at that smile. When she descended the stairs after dressing up for a special occasion, I was stunned at how lovely she looked and always told her so. I will remember her like that always.

Dear Family: Please accept my condolence for the loss of your loved one. To live to be this age is truly a blessing from God. (Psalm 90:10) Imagine your loved one living "forever". That is what the Bible promises at Revelation 21:4 because one of the things that will be gone is death and Isaiah 25:8 says that “He (God) will swallow up death forever.” For those who have died, God promises they will be resurrected back to earth under peaceful conditions. Your beloved is included in that promise. (Acts 24:15; Psalm 37:11) We can trust God and put all of our faith in him because he does not lie. (Numbers 23:19) To learn the Bible's answer to the question, "Can the Dead Really Live Again?", type the following URL into your browser to read or listen to the answer: tinyurl.com/mezwv23.

I thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers on behalf of my family, and, especially, on behalf of dear Theresa, who now rests in peace in Heaven. My wife Robin has been such a beautiful, caring partner to me , as well as the most amazing, devoted Mother to Jamie and Alison. All due to the grace, guidance, and devotion she learned from Theresa.
We all should be buoyed by the fond memories and the good deeds that were innate in Theresa's blessed life.

Carol Jane, You need nothing more than your mother's memories to heal your broken heart. If only I had such memories. Your mother's heart was full of love for her daughters and son. You can not doubt that. Love was what Theresa was made of -- hang on to those memories, they will mitigate any pain you may be feeling. I saw her once after you had moved back to Italy, and she was so proud that you had, and were giving homage to your roots. So if there be any guilt, put it away and let it arise no more. She was very proud of you for following your dreams for that's the kind of children she raised. Strong and self-minded. God Bless you cousin Theresa and now rest in Peace, which is what all of us wish for you -- a peaceful rest in union with the Lord and in reunion with the family who have gone before. God bless us all. but especially Theresa's children and grand-children.

Mothers are the earthly expression of eternal love. It never stops from birth to death. You may be separated from her in the physical realm, but Theresa will always be a spiritual reality for you. She is at peace and out of harm's way now. Wishing your entire family peace of mind and heart. With love to you all...

I have wonderful memories of of my grandmother Theresa. I always enjoyed going to her house as a child especially when we would play baseball in the backyard - Grandmom would pitch and I would hit. She also used to push me on the rope swing and I had a blast! Her Italian cooking was delicious and we enjoyed hanging out and watching TV when I would stay over. She was thoughtful and always giving my sister and I little gifts or shoving a 5 dollar bill in our pockets when we would see her. She also raised my beautiful, caring, and talented mother which I am so grateful for. I am going to miss my Grandmom deeply but I rest assured that she is in a better place now, smiling down. She will always have a place in my heart, filled with these warm and happy memories.
